Special Education

We are familiar with each student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP), exceptionality if any, and the student’s special needs. Not only are we responsible for arranging and overseeing monthly support team meetings (IST/SST), but we also collaborate with students, teachers, guidance, support staff, social services, Special Education consultants and other professional resource personnel to develop meaningful strategies, accommodations and/or modifications to a student’s IEP and academic program. Moreover, we teach students invaluable self-advocacy skills, believing they will serve the student well when he or she transitions into post-secondary programs or the workplace.
